Approach
Dr. Heidt takes a collaborative approach to each client’s individual needs and cultural preferences, using treatments and techniques that are proven effective.
She knows the importance of therapeutic relationships and ensures her clients are heard and understood. She uses an integrative approach, including cognitive-behavioural (CBT), acceptance and commitment (ACT), and dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT). She provides exposure and response prevention (ERP) to address symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and can offer prolonged exposure (PE) or cognitive-processing therapy (CPT) for symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other traumatic or stressful experiences.
